\nIt’s getting quite boring –
\nSome readers are snoring<\/a> –
\nBut still, they can go and get bent.<\/p>\n
\nOn the hottest of topics today
\nSo I’ve resorted to poem
\n(Though my verse is not flowin’
\nIn an especially brilliant way).<\/p>\n
\nIn the hope of some Blairite contrition
\nI cannot be arsed,
\nThough these people are parsed
\nAnd flown off without their permission.<\/p>\n
\nI am likewise made quickly forlorn
\nPolitical economy
\nIs too far beyond me
\nI wish it had never been born.<\/p>\n
\nWhen I know more about this nation?
\nWith its cricket and pubs
\nAnd hooded-top thugs
\nThat rob us with so much elation?<\/p>\n
\nOn my interest it fails to impress:
\nThe doctors and nurses
\nAre muttering curses
\nThat the government still<\/i> fails to address<\/p>\n
\nWhere I first flexed my blog-writing muscles,
\nIt’s all dull as hell –
\nAnd confusing as well –
\nAnd prompts too many comment-box tussles.<\/p>\n
