(And in any case, I&#8217;m pretty sure that Bush isn&#8217;t stupid enough to seriously suggest <a href=\"http:\/\/dontbomb.blogspot.com\/\">deliberately targetting al Jazeera<\/a> &#8211; it sounds more like a Reaganesque &#8220;we start bombing in five minutes&#8221; joke.)<\/p>\n<p>This is all far too much like the whole &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.longlongtimeago.com\/llta_fables_brer_rabbit_tarbaby.html\">whatever you do, don&#8217;t throw me into the briar patch<\/a>&#8221; thing. Why has the government opted for such heavy handed methods when there are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dnotice.org.uk\/index.htm\">subtler ways<\/a> of keeping the story under wraps?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As honourable as I find this sort of thing and the subsequent support, does anyone else get the feeling that something&#8217;s not right here?
