Probably because it was apparently set up by a bunch of Yanks who are interested in European politics. It seems to be a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailykos.com\/\">Daily Kos<\/a> style set-up, though whether it&#8217;s a Kossack spin-off like <a href=\"http:\/\/neweuropeantimes.com\/\">New European Times<\/a> (which has apparently been rebranded, so I should probably update the blogroll) I have no idea.<\/p>\n<p>From there I&#8217;ve also come across a (rather excessively sparse) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.socialtext.net\/loicwiki\/index.cgi?the_european_blogosphere&amp;login=user43034\">European blogosphere wiki<\/a> with almost no familiar names and a bunch of people I&#8217;ve never heard of, plus Germany-based <a href=\"http:\/\/www.signandsight.com\/\">Sign and Sight<\/a> &#8211; which I think I saw a while back but failed to link. It has an interesting article on  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.signandsight.com\/features\/209.html\">The Franco-German relationship<\/a> which looks well worth a look when I have more time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>No idea how long European Tribune has been going but I only came across it today and it looks to be not only worth a look but already quite popular.
