Well, against all expectations <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/asia-pacific\/4379441.stm\">the opposition protestors seem to be getting somewhere<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The opposition in Kyrgyzstan says it has taken control of the capital, Bishkek, after overrunning the president&#8217;s palace.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This could turn nasty&#8230; But, fresh from their Orange Revolution (see &#8220;Ukraine&#8221; section to the right), <a href=\"http:\/\/en.rian.ru\/rian\/index.cfm?prd_id=160&amp;msg_id=5475320&amp;startrow=1&amp;date=2005-03-24&amp;do_alert=0\">the new Ukrainian government has offered to step in as intermediaries<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/news.google.com\/news?q=Kyrgyzstan&amp;num=50&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;safe=off&amp;sa=G&amp;scoring=d\">Watch this space<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was wondering a couple of weeks back why no one seems to be interested in the protests in Kyrgyztan.
