{"id":1525,"date":"2007-04-04T19:28:40","date_gmt":"2007-04-04T19:28:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.jcm.org.uk\/blog\/2007\/04\/04\/online-charitable-fundraising-a-bit-of-help-needed\/"},"modified":"2007-04-04T19:28:40","modified_gmt":"2007-04-04T19:28:40","slug":"online-charitable-fundraising-a-bit-of-help-needed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jcm.org.uk\/blog\/2007\/04\/online-charitable-fundraising-a-bit-of-help-needed\/","title":{"rendered":"Online charitable fundraising &#8211; a bit of help needed&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve just knocked up a quick website (free of charge and hosting chucked in, naturally) for a rather nice little charity run by a friend of the family that&#8217;s aiming to provide <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jpkproject.co.uk\/\">residential accommodation, day care, training and work experience for people with learning disabilities in East Sussex<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As the charity&#8217;s so small and local, I&#8217;m not sure that the usually rather good <a href=\"http:\/\/justgiving.com\/\">Just Giving<\/a> site is necessarily the best way forward for them to provide a secure method for online donations, as the \u00c2\u00a315 a month subscription fee would eat up a good \u00c2\u00a3180 a year.<\/p>\n<p>Does anyone know of any alternatives &#8211; specifically ones that can be operated largely automatically, as the people running the charity are (by their own admission) hardly web savvy?
