There is, however, a potentially important election going on in Serbia today, which could lead to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iht.com\/articles\/ap\/2007\/01\/19\/europe\/EU-GEN-Kosovo-President.php\">independence for Kosovo<\/a>.
